Mr. Dan Massiello, Senior Vice President of Kosmont Companies and head of the Public Finance division of Kosmont Transactions Services, has over 25 years of professional experience both as a Municipal Advisor and an Investment Banker. Mr. Massiello has successfully closed over 300 new money and refunding transactions totaling over $4 billion for multiple levels of local government, including cities, counties, redevelopment successor agencies, school districts and special districts. Successful transactions include obligations supported by a wide array of pledged resources and underlying assets, ranging from taxes (tax increment, general obligation, special tax, sales tax) to general fund operations (lease revenue, certificates of participation) to project revenues (nonprofit/conduit, public/private-partnerships (P3), utilities).
A significant portion of Mr. Massiello’s experience has involved unrated and land-secured credits, which enables Mr. Massiello to provide insight and expertise, from district formation to accessing investor capital, on a wide array of challenging projects. The ability to work in concert with the real estate professionals at Kosmont enables Mr. Massiello to incorporate underlying considerations of the real estate development into the ultimate financing vehicle, which translates into a well-structured and highly marketable financing, designed from the “ground up” to meet our clients’ financing goals and objectives.

Mr. Massiello is presently a registered Municipal Advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and achieved the Series 50 and 54 professional qualifications. He previously held Series 24, 7, and 63 securities licenses while an investment banker.

Mr. Massiello earned his B.S. in Management/Finance from the State University of New York-Binghamton.
